What happens next
1
Watch your inbox
Nils will email you at the address you used to pay — usually within a few hours, always within one business day. He'll introduce himself properly and get your first session on the calendar.
2
Send your current resume
When Nils reaches out, attach your current resume. Don't spend time polishing it first — he wants to see the version you've actually been sending out.
3
Session 1: story extraction
Your first session is a deep dive into your actual work — the wins, the hard problems, the moments where something meaningful changed because of you. This is where the real material comes from.
One thing to know going in: the stories that will impress a hiring manager most often feel ordinary to you now. You've been living with them for years. Don't pre-filter. Bring everything — even the stuff you think "wasn't a big deal." That's usually where the best material is hiding.
Questions before your first session? Email Nils directly at nils@nilsdavis.com.
"Sixteen days after we finished, he had a job offer. That's not a fluke. That's what happens when your resume stops describing what you did and starts showing what changed because of you."
— Nils Davis, on working with Nick Christman
